Seals of a different Kind

Today was no ordinary day at work. Instead of being at the Olympic Training Center out on the field hockey pitch, I spent the day with the team at the Navy Amphibious base on Coronado getting a small glimpse of what the guys go through as they try to become a Navy SEAL. This was actually our (when I say our i really mean their second trip...I got to stand and watch instead of being abused thank goodness) second trip and workout with the SEALs. I have to hand it to the girls, they did amazing and showed so much toughness and perseverance. They got "wet & sandy" about 20 times, carried boats on their heads, ran down the beach carrying boats, ran back down the beach with 40lb rucksacks on and did countless situps and pushups. We only had a few injury casualties but nothing unmanageable. Everyone finished exhausted but with a smile on their face. (Probably because they were so excited it was over)

Hats off to the USA Women's Field Hockey team!
